The Tessa Jowell Foundation is dedicated to ensuring that everyone diagnosed with brain cancer receives the best possible treatment and care. Brain cancer is the biggest cancer killer of children and people under 40 in the UK, yet too many face limited options. Working across hospitals, industry, and national health leaders, we champion innovation, equity, and compassion in treatment. Inspired by Tessa’s legacy, we bring people together to accelerate progress and transform outcomes for patients and families across the country.
Early Childhood Development
The Tessa Jowell Foundation is a co-founder of Start Strong.
Start Strong is a brand new coalition building a long-term strategic communications vehicle that unites everyone working in early childhood across the UK. Our vision is a society that prioritises and invests in the early years of a child’s life, because of a shared understanding that this is essential to our nation’s health and wealth.
Through an evidence-based approach to communications, we will catalyse and enable collective advocacy efforts, generating a powerful force for change that cuts through, shifts public attitudes and drives long-term, ambitious action that means every child gets the very best start in life.
Start Strong will launch in 2026.
